Signing up to DigiReg

Registering for DigiReg is a straightforward process. In many ways it is just like registering for any other site, however, you have to be invited to register. You should have received instructions from your institution telling you which one of the following methods you should use to register your new account:

When using a Google account as authentication, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click on the Google link
  3. Enter your Google credentials. (If you have more than one Google account, use the one suggested by the institution)
  4. Authorise the DigiReg app

That is it!

When you are directed back to DigiReg you will be logged in. You may also add your phone number to the profile, so that you are ready for SMS registration.

Common Questions

I am told to create a local account
If you are told to create a local account, it could mean one of two things:
  1. If Google did not ask which account you wanted to use, you need to login to Google first on your device. Chances are, it is using your personal GMail account, rather than the institutions.
  2. You may need to register on DigiReg first. Check your instructions to see if this is the case
and then you can link your Google account later from your profile. Also, try using your institution's Google account if you have one, as this may well work.
Google didn't ask me which account to use
If you have one Google account, it is used by default, which isn't good if you want to use your institution's Google account. Login into Google first, then add your institution email account to Google. You should then have the choice when you register for DigiReg

When registering with an institution email address, such as yourname@yourinstitution.com, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on Register
  2. Enter your institution email address
  3. Click Continue
  4. Enter your details
  5. Click Save
  6. Check your email for your email verification link. Click this to validate.

That is it! You can now register for your institution's sessions.

Common Questions

I am told I must use a provider, such as Google or Facebook?
If you are told to use a provider, then you will need to use that provider to login. Please see the help section for the required provider.
I am asked for an institution code?
If you have been asked for a code, then the email address you entered is not a recognised institution email address. Use the correct email address, or speak to your institution for further advice.

If you have a code, then you can use any email address to sign up for DigiReg. If you have been emailed a registration link, you can use this instead of entering a code.

Follow these steps to register with an institution code:

  1. Click on Register
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Click Continue
  4. Enter your institution code
  5. Enter your details
  6. Click Save
  7. Check your email for your email verification link. Click this to validate.

That is it! You can now register for your institution's sessions.

Common Questions

I don't have a code
Review the instructions provided by your institution to ensure a code is required to register. If required and you have not received it, speak with your institution to obtain the correct code.
